Nordstrom Try On Haul

Hey everyone! I have finally done a try on haul for all my favorite readers. I love when bloggers do these and I can really see what they liked and videos of them in the dressing room. A lot of them do these try on hauls on their Insta stories then have a recap of everything they shared in a blog post. But, I’m doing this one a little different. Would yall rather see them in Insta stories? Anyway, I just grabbed a few things I really liked at Nordstrom while I was visiting Megan in KC and tried it all on and styled things a few ways! Hope you like it! *Side note: sorry the mirror in these pics is a little dirty. What do you do?*

Distressed Denim Jacket

I love this whole look and this is actually what I wore on Sunday to go shopping, but had my own denim jacket similar to this one. These leggings are thick, high waisted and come in a shorter length! I have both lengths and love them! Great for the gym and or everyday wear.

Everyday Long Sleeve Tee

I actually bought this shirt! And I have it in white and the black with white stripes. I wear them all the time! I would size down in this brand because it runs a little big. But I love how it’s longer in the back and the side slit adds a little something. I wore the white one in the outfit above with the denim jacket, and below you can see it styled with another jacket.

Suede Moto Jacket

Okay, I’m really obsessed with this jacket. I actually style it at least 3 different ways within just this post so keep scrolling. It is SUCH good quality and the color is beautiful. The burgundy and blush pink color are actually on sale right now! I am wearing an XS here but I would probably buy the Small because it was a little snug around the shoulders, so I would say TTS!

Cozy Circle Cardigan

I am a pretty BIG fan of this cardigan. I have it in the dark grey color and wear it all the time. A few of the colors are on sale right now (unfortunately, this color is not, but that is okay). Also, These jeans weren’t my fave because they just didn’t really fit me right. The material was very soft, they were high waisted and had a raw edge hem. I am just super particular about my designer jeans, I want them to be perfect! So if you’re tall, these may be for you!

The Perfect V Neck Tee

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times. This is the BEST cotton v-neck around. It doesn’t get wrinkly, doesn’t v too deep in the front, holds up well and the colors are great. Also, how cute is it with this jacket?!

Also, the jeans here are the Citizens Rocket Jeans. I freaking loved these, but they were a bit too long so I had to roll them under. I’m trying to find some citizens that aren’t 100 feet too long and are fitted around the ankle, lmk if you know of any that you like!

Mock Neck Sweater

So I don’t have this sweater in the grey color, but I do have it in black from last season and it is 100% a staple in my closet. See how it’s long in the back and has a little mock neck? So cute and comfy. Again, this is that BP. brand, so I usually size down!

Ribbed Pullover Sweater

I’m not usually one for blue sweaters with denim (idk, maybe I’m weird) but I am really digging this look! Also, this sweater is crazy soft and comes in a ton of colors that you will absolutely love. Also, you can see that with a front tuck, it makes it a little slimmer.

Gingham Swing Top

Gingham, cutout shoulders and a bit of sheer…who is ready for spring?? Because this shirt has me MORE than excited! What do you guys think? Fans of the gingham trend or no? This would look so cute with white jeans and wedges.

The Perfect Stripe Shirt

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

This was the other shirt I bought (because, no, I did not buy all of this) and I am obsessed. It is the BP. brand and while I usually say size down, I got my normal size in this shirt. Love the stripes and the fit of this shirt. Also, it comes in several colors/prints! I styled it with a denim jacket and jeans here, not something I’d normally rock, but I don’t hate it!

Yellow Frill Dress

Tbh, I don’t wear dresses that often. Honestly, I don’t wear them unless I have to. But, this one caught my eye and thought it was fun, aside from the wrinkles lol. I love the yellow color and the side tie. I got a small in this one but I would probably go down a size because the side tie kinda bunched up if that makes sense. This also comes in a blush color if you prefer that, but I think this would be a super cute color for a seasonal transitioning dress! Plus, it looks so cute with the suede jacket and I know it would look cute with a denim jacket as well! Anyone out there agree?

Above is everything I tried on at Nordstrom plus a few other items AND the furry slides I had on in the pics. I apologize for the low-quality photos and me looking overall goofy but I really wanted to do this in hopes of a few of you being interested! 🙂 Have a great weekend and I’ll be back next week!

Casual Denim Jacket Look

I get more comments when wearing my denim jacket than anything else I own. Okay, that may be a little dramatic, but seriously, it’s great. If you don’t already have one, it’s time to find take the plunge. I promise you won’t regret it. Also, you can find a good and durable option at really affordable prices! Both of mine are under $50 and I have worn them both so many times. Anyway,  this outfit is super easy and you can wear it with any color sweater, making for at least 100 different outfits haha.

Hope you guys like this look and tell me if you want to see more outfits that can be worn several different ways as well as in every walk of life! Outfit deets (all price points of these items) at the bottom of this post! 🙂

Shoutout to the VERY talented Courtney Garrett for taking these pics! She’s an all star and if you’re in NWA and need ANY kind of photos, definitely reach out to her >> and follow her on Insta

Fall Trends I’ll Be Wearing All Season

[the_ad id=”1579″]

Summertime, I hate to watch you go, but I love to watch you leave because FALL CLOTHES! I love everything about summer, except the clothes. So when fall comes back around and it’s jeans, oversized sweaters, cute boots and booties…I get crazy excited. So be ready for lots of posts coming soon.

To start, here are some of the fall trends I’ll be sporting this season!

Leather skirts, pants, bags, jackets, shoes, etc. All. Fall (and winter). Long. Fam. See below. Already wearing leather jackets in September. Can’t stop. Won’t stop.

All. Of. The. Denim.

Denim jackets, distressed denim, denim skirts, step hem, raw hem, cropped and flare. I also just love all things denim so I may be partial here but whatevs.

Slides and Mules

I bought a pair of slides (or mules? To each their own) during the anniversary sale and now I just want them all.

I have been all about skirts lately and I plan on taking this new love all the way through the season. *bring on the self-tanner*

Chunky Sweaters

As if oversized and chunky sweaters would ever go out of style anyway. But just in case you thought they may, I’ll be wearing them 3 days a week.

Hat Game Strong

Honestly, I’ve always loved the hat trend but I’m going to man up and actually wear some this year because I usually chicken out. I really recommend trying to buy hats at your local stores and boutiques because trying to buy online gets expensive and just outright hard to do. I have grabbed a few from Fringe in Fayetteville and Riffraff!

Bold Red

I feel like as a Razorback fan, I only wear red during football season. But bold red is IN this year, guys. Hop on the bandwagon..I’ll be there.

Ruffles and Peplum

Never ever in my life did I think I would be into this trend, but here I am. Don’t worry though, I like to add in other pieces to kind of distract from the girliness of the ruffles. But that is just me. You can style this trend however you’d like!

Statement Earrings

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve worn earrings in YEARS until recently and I have bought a ton and worn them every single day. I have found some cheaper versions, too. I love the Sugarfix brand by Bauble Bar at Target!

How to: Style your Favorite Black Dress – Look #4

black slip dress with sweater

Hi, all! As promised, I am continuing this series of how to style a black dress! Tbh, they are all my “favorite” looks, and I refuse to choose just one, but this is one that you can style several different ways!

I chose to tie my sweater over my slip dress and wear flatter and more casual sandals to keep the look more relaxed. This is a great way to wear a slip dress to work. Then you can untie the sweater (or lose it completely), throw on some heels and it’s a whole new outfit! On the real, if it’s a little chilly outside but you want to wear a dress, throw on your favorite sweater on top of your sleeveless dress and you are good to go!

I linked the products featured in the photos as well as some other options for more ways to style it! Let me know what you think!

If you missed the first and second ways to style your favorite black dress, be sure to check those out!

Nordstrom’s May Half Year Sale starts tomorrow (5/24-6/5). I will be sharing a post tomorrow to highlight what I will be ordering right off the bat. You will not want to miss this because the best stuff goes so quick sometimes!

How to: Style your Favorite Black Dress – Look #3

black dress denim jacket booties

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! Here is look number 2 from the “how to style your favorite black dress” series. Let me know what you think!

This one features the same cotton dress and it’s more of a comfortable warm weather look for the office. I mean, you could obviously rock this look almost anywhere, but it’s a simple and put together look that you can never go wrong with!

Here, I will take a second to talk about how much I love my denim jacket. I actually got this one a few years ago from Forever 21 so they don’t have it anymore. BUT, I am about to invest in a higher quality one because how much I wear this bad boy. Seriously don’t think I have gone one week without wearing it since I bought it. It’s such a staple and can take a look from 0-10 so easily.

So, I linked a few options for denim jackets and black dresses at the bottom of the post, so be sure to check it out!

If you missed out on the first look in this series, here is the link for that! I will be sharing the rest this week, so stay tuned!
